- The Bussmann LPJ-30SP is a Class J Low-Peak™ fuse, engineered for ultimate current limitation. In the event of a short circuit, it reacts in less than 0.008 seconds to "clamp" the electrical energy before it reaches its destructive peak. This provides superior protection for sensitive components like VFDs and PLCs, often allowing your entire control panel to achieve a higher Short-Circuit Current Rating (SCCR).
- Featuring dual-element, time-delay technology, this 30-Amp fuse is specifically designed to handle the heavy momentary surges of motor starts and transformer inrush. It provides a minimum 10-second delay at 500% of its rated current. This ensures your machinery powers up reliably while still offering lightning-fast protection against dangerous overloads.
- The LPJ-30SP is fully rated for 600V AC (and 300V DC) with a massive 300,000 Amp Interrupting Rating (AIR). This allows it to be used safely in virtually any Canadian industrial, mining, or commercial facility, ensuring your power distribution system remains secure and fully compliant with the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC).
- The Class J footprint is significantly smaller than equivalent Class R or Class H fuses. This compact design allows Canadian panel builders to use smaller disconnect switches and fuse blocks, such as the CH30J series, saving valuable interior "real estate" in electrical enclosures without sacrificing interrupting performance or safety.
- The Bussmann LPJ-30SP is fully CSA Certified (Class 1422-02) and UL Listed.
