Description
2510F fractional horsepower non-reversing manual starters provides manual On-Off control with overload protection for small motors. Designed for fractional single phase motors up to 1 HP. The toggle operator provides an easy manual On-Off control of small motors. These manual starters are used in a variety of industrial and commercial installations. Typical applications include fans, conveyors, pumps, and small machine tools. Melting alloy thermal units are used with this manual starter to sense over current conditions. Overload thermal unit is ordered separately to match motor data. This 2 pole nonreversing manual starter has a 16A current rating. Starter has a 1 HP at 115 VAC, 2 HP at 230 VAC, 1 HP at 277 VAC and 0.75 HP at 115 and 230 VDC ratings. This NEMA 1 general purpose enclosure is a surface mounting enclosure. This manual starter is 4.25 inches tall, 2.44 inches wide and 2.88 inches deep. This device is without a pilot light indicator. Manual starter is UL listed and CSA certified.

It carries a continuous current rating of 16 Amps at up to 277V AC or 230V DC, making it ideal for managing small industrial or commercial exhaust fans, localized fluid pumps, and material handling conveyors up to 1 HP at 115V AC and 2 HP at 230V AC.
- This manual starter features a dedicated melting alloy thermal overload block positioned between the incoming line and the load. It uses one Type F standard thermal unit (ordered separately to match the specific motor full-load current) to continuously track electrical heat buildup. If a mechanical jam forces a prolonged overcurrent condition, the melting alloy block releases the spring-loaded mechanism, dropping the motor off the line before insulation damage occurs.
- Housed in a rugged, surface-mounting NEMA Type 1 general-purpose sheet steel enclosure, this starter is built strictly for indoor utility spaces. The wrap-around metal cover protects internal electrical components from accidental physical impacts, light airborne dust, and personnel contact, making it a perfect fit for dry, indoor commercial HVAC equipment closets, mechanical rooms, and light manufacturing workshops.
- This model features a classic, heavy-duty toggle switch actuator that provides distinct mechanical confirmation of contact state. The over-center, trip-free toggle mechanism cannot be forced closed against a persistent thermal overload fault condition, ensuring that the internal contacts remain open and completely isolated until the internal thermal unit has cooled sufficiently and the toggle is manually reset.
- The NEMA 1 enclosure base features pre-formed conduit knockouts positioned at both the top and bottom to facilitate rapid wire pulls. Equipped with large, accessible screw clamp terminals that safely anchor solid or stranded copper conductors, this starter layout simplifies field installations and ensures a high-torque, vibration-resistant termination that minimizes local resistance.
