Features
- The Schneider QOB330 is a "Bolt-On" version of the legendary Square D QO circuit breaker. Unlike standard plug-on breakers used in homes, this unit features a mounting screw that physically secures it to the bus bar of a Square D NQ or NQOD panelboard. This bolt-on connection is the industry standard for Canadian commercial and industrial facilities because it resists loosening due to vibration or heavy thermal cycling.
- This is a 3-Pole, 30-Amp breaker, designed to provide simultaneous overcurrent protection for all three phases of a 3-phase electrical system. In Canada, it is most commonly used to protect: 3-Phase Motors (up to approx. 7.5 HP at 208V) , Commercial HVAC Units and Exhaust Fans , Industrial Kitchen Equipment (ovens, fryers) , Small Machine Tools in workshops or manufacturing plants.
- The QOB330 is rated for 240V AC. It is the go-to choice for 3-phase branch circuits in 208Y/120V systems, which are the most prevalent power configurations for Canadian office buildings, retail spaces, and light industrial units.
- Equipped with the patented Visi-TripTM indicator, this breaker makes troubleshooting simple. When the breaker trips, a highly visible red flag snaps into the window on the face of the breaker. This allows maintenance staff to immediately identify which 3-phase circuit has faulted among dozens of others in a dark electrical room.
- The internal contacts are designed to snap open or closed at high speed, regardless of how fast the handle is moved. This "Quick-Make/Quick-Break" action reduces internal arcing, which preserves the life of the contacts and ensures the breaker can reliably interrupt its full rated current over many years of service.
