Description
The Next Generation Power Distribution Block (PDB). Mersen power distribution blocks provide a safe and easy method of splicing cables, splitting primary power into secondary circuits and fulfilling requirements for fixed junction tap-off points. All blocks are UL and CSA approved while meeting spacing requirements for feeder and branch circuits in conjunction with UL508A and the National Electrical Code®. PDB options include single or dual conductor primary inputs and up to 30 secondary outputs. Specialty blocks are available allowing for up to 7 primary inputs. The MPDB series is offered in three size categories: miniature (MPDB62 and MPDB63 series), intermediate (MPDB66 and MPDB67 series), and large (MPDB68 and MPDB69 series), in both aluminum and copper.

- This next-generation, single-pole (1-Pole) miniature block features 1 primary opening and 4 secondary openings per pole. This box-to-box layout provides a highly efficient and safe method for splicing cables, splitting primary power into 4 secondary circuits, or fulfilling fixed junction tap-off point requirements within cramped electrical enclosures.
- The primary line-side opening accommodates 14 to 2/0 AWG aluminum or copper wire, while the 4 load-side secondary openings accept 14 to 4 AWG. Because the solid, one-piece connectors are constructed from high-conductivity, tin-plated aluminum, you have total flexibility to utilize both AL and CU wire configurations on the job site without risking galvanic corrosion
- Engineered to withstand demanding industrial environments, this block boasts a robust 1000V AC/DC electrical rating alongside a maximum current rating of 175 Amps for copper conductors (135 Amps for aluminum, and 125 Amps for fine-stranded DLO wire). This gives electrical contractors and panel builders plenty of overhead for modern commercial power distribution layouts.
- When paired with properly sized overcurrent protection, this open-style terminal block delivers an exceptionally high SCCR of up to 100 kA (such as with a 200A Class J or Class T fuse). This elite fault-current suppression prevents catastrophic equipment damage and keeps your entire downstream setup isolated and safe during an electrical fault
- This power distribution block is fully UL 1953 Listed and CSA Certified, maintaining 1 inch through-air and 2 inches over-surface spacing between uninsulated live parts of opposite polarity. This guarantees your industrial control panels effortlessly fulfill the rigorous spacing and compliance mandates of UL 508A and the National Electrical Code (NEC).
