Description
The Next Generation Power Distribution Block (PDB). Mersen power distribution blocks provide a safe and easy method of splicing cables, splitting primary power into secondary circuits and fulfilling requirements for fixed junction tap-off points. All blocks are UL and CSA approved while meeting spacing requirements for feeder and branch circuits in conjunction with UL508A and the National Electrical Code®. PDB options include single or dual conductor primary inputs and up to 30 secondary outputs. Specialty blocks are available allowing for up to 7 primary inputs. The MPDB series is offered in three size categories: miniature (MPDB62 and MPDB63 series), intermediate (MPDB66 and MPDB67 series), and large (MPDB68 and MPDB69 series), in both aluminum and copper.

- The Mersen MPDB67562 features a robust 2-pole intermediate design, providing an efficient way to split primary power or handle cable splicing across two separate conductors simultaneously. This dual-pole architecture minimizes panel layout complexity and cuts down on installation space, allowing industrial control panel builders and commercial electricians to streamline high-density wiring configurations.
- Engineered with premium tin-plated aluminum box connectors, this block eliminates galvanic corrosion concerns when terminating dissimilar metals. It safely accepts either copper or aluminum conductors—spanning a primary range of 14 to 2/0 AWG and a secondary range of #2 to #14 AWG—giving you total job site flexibility to run available wire types without buying specialized blocks.
- This block provides one primary opening and six secondary openings per pole, delivering a structured 1-to-6 split to cleanly route power to downline branch components. Rated up to 175 Amps for copper (135 Amps for aluminum) at a massive 1000V AC/DC, it supplies plenty of overhead for demanding industrial automation and commercial feeder systems.
- When paired with properly sized upstream fuses (such as Class J, T, or CC), this power distribution block boasts a high short-circuit current rating (SCCR) of up to 100 kA. This structural resilience prevents catastrophic failure during a fault condition, ensuring your panel easily complies with stringent UL 508A.
- The base is molded from a virtually unbreakable, glass-filled polycarbonate material featuring a UL94-V0 flammability rating and a dielectric strength exceeding 2500V. This premium material maintains its structural integrity across 60°C, 75°C, and 90°C wiring systems, resisting cracks and electrical tracking even when mounted in harsh, high-vibration industrial enclosures.
