Description
The Next Generation Power Distribution Block (PDB). Mersen power distribution blocks provide a safe and easy method of splicing cables, splitting primary power into secondary circuits and fulfilling requirements for fixed junction tap-off points. All blocks are UL and CSA approved while meeting spacing requirements for feeder and branch circuits in conjunction with UL508A and the National Electrical Code®. PDB options include single or dual conductor primary inputs and up to 30 secondary outputs. Specialty blocks are available allowing for up to 7 primary inputs. The MPDB series is offered in three size categories: miniature (MPDB62 and MPDB63 series), intermediate (MPDB66 and MPDB67 series), and large (MPDB68 and MPDB69 series), in both aluminum and copper.

- Designed with a 3-pole configuration, this terminal block provides a robust 175-amp copper (or 135-amp aluminum) capacity to manage multiphase systems seamlessly. It simplifies the task of splicing heavy feeder cables and splitting power down into six separate branch circuits per pole, significantly reducing panel clutter and installation layout time.
- The primary line side features a rugged box connector that accepts a wide wire range from 2/0 down to #14 AWG, while the six load-side ports handle #2 down to #14 AWG conductors. This broad flexibility eliminates the need for extra reduction adapters, allowing industrial electricians to land copper or aluminum wires directly onto the same block.
- his open-style power distribution block boasts a standalone 10 kA short-circuit rating that elevates up to a massive 100 kA fault current capacity when paired with properly sized Class J, CC, or T fuses. This heavy-duty protection minimizes the risk of catastrophic panel failure and guarantees your equipment complies with strict modern safety standpoints.
- Engineered with 1 inch of spacing through the air and 2 inches over surfaces between uninsulated live parts, this device naturally satisfies the stringent electrical spacing benchmarks required for industrial machinery. This built-in clearance ensures your custom control enclosures easily pass field inspections and satisfy National Electrical Code (NEC®) regulations.
