Description

TeSys Deca reversing contactor, 3 poles (3NO), for motor control applications up to 32A/690V AC-3 (15kW@400V). They can be used to create motor starters for almost any type of application. It provides 120V 50/60Hz AC coils, 2NO+2NC built-in auxiliary contacts (NC mirror certified), connection by screw clamp terminals. For operating rates until 3600 cycles/hour and environments until 60°C, it procures high reliability and durability. Compact (90mm width), DIN-rail mounting or screw fixing. With pre-wired reversing power connections, mechanical interlock (without electrical interlocking). Multi standards certified (IEC, UL, CSA, CCC, EAC, Marine).

  • This factory-assembled reversing contactor combines two 3-pole contactors together with a robust mechanical interlock on a unified, pre-wired frame. For industrial panel builders and plant electricians, this configuration eliminates the manual task of cutting and cross-wiring reverse-phase loops, ensuring safe, foolproof directional motor control with zero risk of phase-to-phase short circuits.
  • Rated for a solid 32 Amps under AC-3 inductive motor loads and 50 Amps under AC-1 resistive loads, this heavy-duty unit controls motors up to 20 HP at 460/480V or 30 HP at 575/600V AC. This high thermal threshold makes it ideal for running high-inertia ventilation fans, industrial compressors, and heavy material-handling conveyors without contact tip welding.
  • Bearing full CSA C22.2 No 14, UL 60947-4-1 and UKCA certifications alongside an IP20 finger-safe front face design, this unit adheres to strict global and regional safety guidelines. The design simplifies municipal plant inspections and streamlines final safety validation for export-bound machinery.
  • Built to execute up to 3,600 operating cycles per hour, this TeSys D contactor achieves a mechanical durability rating of 15,000,000 cycles. With a crisp closing time of 12 to 22 milliseconds and an opening time of 4 to 19 milliseconds, it delivers the instantaneous reaction times required for automated mixing, sorting, and packaging lines.
  • Each contactor in this reversing assembly comes pre-configured with built-in 1 NO + 1 NC auxiliary contacts that utilize mechanically linked and mirror contact architecture. Control technicians can immediately implement an electrical interlock, loop real-time status signals back to a master PLC, or trigger safety pilot lights without ordering add-on contact blocks.
  • Equipped with a standard 120V AC coil running at 50/60 Hz, the contactor is engineered to operate smoothly across a drop-out threshold of 0.3...0.6 Uc and an operational window of 1...1.1 Uc. This wide electrical tolerance prevents contact chatter and dropped control signals when heavy machinery startups pull down localized panel voltage.
