- Housed in a NEMA 3R galvannealed steel enclosure, this safety switch is engineered specifically to prevent the ingress of rain, sleet, snow, and external ice formation. It provides maximum component protection for demanding outdoor applications, making it the perfect choice for isolating power to rooftop HVAC units, conveyor systems, and commercial water pumps exposed to varying Canadian climates.
- This 3-pole, 3-wire single-throw safety switch is fully rated for 30 A at up to 600V AC/DC. Depending on the class of fuses installed, it delivers a short-circuit current rating (SCCR) ranging from 10 kA for standard Class H/K fuses all the way up to an exceptional 200 kA when paired with Class R or Class J fuse rejection clips, ensuring robust overcurrent containment for high-fault utility connections.
- The "GL" suffix confirms this unit comes pre-equipped with factory-installed equipment ground lugs, saving installation time and hardware sourcing costs out on the job site. The heavy-duty lugs ensure an immediate, low-resistance mechanical bond to the building ground network, and are designed to securely clamp AWG 14 to 6 copper or AWG 12 to 6 aluminum field wiring.
