- The VH362GL is a 3-pole, 60-Amp, 600V heavy-duty fusible safety switch from the Square D VisiPacT series. It is designed to safely isolate power for heavy industrial machinery and commercial HVAC systems, providing a reliable way to disconnect power for maintenance or in an emergency.
- This specific model includes two critical factory-installed features: Viewing Window: A transparent window in the door that allows maintenance personnel to visually verify the position of the blades (ON vs. OFF) without opening the enclosure, significantly reducing the risk of Arc Flash exposure. Ground Lugs: Pre-installed equipment grounding lugs, ensuring a secure and code-compliant bonding path right out of the box.
- he VH362GL is a powerhouse, rated for both AC and DC applications up to 600V. Its 3-phase horsepower ratings include: 30 HP at 480V AC (Standard) / 50 HP at 600V AC (Maximum with time-delay fuses). , 30 HP at 600V DC. This makes it ideal for high-voltage industrial motors and large-scale solar/DC power systems.
- Short Circuit Protection: How high is the interrupt rating? While standard safety switches might be limited, the VH362GL is engineered for high-fault environments. 10,000 Amps with standard Class H or K fuses. , 200,000 Amps when used with Class R or J fuses (and appropriate rejection kits). This allows the switch to be safely installed in locations with very high available fault current.
- This specific model features a NEMA Type 1 steel enclosure, which is designed for indoor use only to provide protection against dust and accidental contact. It features a "Quick-Make, Quick-Break" mechanism that ensures the blades snap into position rapidly, preventing the internal arcing that causes premature wear on contact surfaces.
