- The entire mechanical assembly is housed within a rugged, heavy-duty NEMA Type 3R weatherproof enclosure. This rainproof and ice-resistant steel shell provides exceptional physical defense against elements like moisture, snow, and limited dirt ingress, making it the ideal choice for outdoor processing yards, rooftop HVAC plants, and unconditioned industrial facilities.
- This safety switch incorporates a dual-cover mechanical interlock system that completely prevents the enclosure door from being opened while the switch handle is in the "ON" position. This fool-proof feature shields technicians from accidental exposure to live lines, while also blocking the switch from being thrown "ON" while the cover is open during panel servicing.
- Designed with a high-performance quick-make, quick-break operating mechanism, the internal blades snap open or closed completely independent of the operator's physical handle speed. This rapid mechanical transition controls localized electrical arcing, reduces contact fatigue, and drastically extends the overall electrical and physical lifespan of the switch contacts.
