Description

Square D™ Load Center Surge Protective Devices (SPDs) are plug-in units designed for fast and straightforward installation. The surge suppressors use two pole spaces in a Load center. SPD are single phase and are rated for use in an indoor or outdoor enclosure. Ideal for residential and light commercial use, these SPDs provide a dependable first layer of surge protection. This is a plug on neutral surge protective device for Homeline load centers. It is designed to protect electrical service and major household appliances, excluding electronic devices. Designed for 3 wire 120/240 VAC single phase systems. Securing up to 50kA surge current per phase. This surge protection device is UL Listed.

Features

  • This whole-house surge protective device is strictly designed for Square D Homeline load centers manufactured after 2014 that feature a plug-on neutral bar configuration. It snaps directly onto the panel's neutral bar, eliminating the need for pigtail wiring modifications, ensuring a perfect physical fit, and preserving valuable gutter space within your residential electrical panel.
  • Engineered with a robust 50 kA peak surge current capacity per phase, this Type 1 SPD shields your entire home against major external transients like severe lightning strikes and utility switching events. It acts as a primary defense line, clamping dangerous high-voltage spikes down to safe levels before they can travel downstream to destroy sensitive household electronics or major appliances.
  • Equipped with an integrated green LED diagnostics indicator, the unit provides instant visual confirmation of your system's operational status at a glance. If a catastrophic electrical event occurs and the internal, thermally fused metal oxide varistors (MOVs) sacrifice themselves to save your equipment, the LED turns off, immediately alerting you that the module needs to be replaced.
  • This surge suppressor is fully cULus Listed to the rigorous UL 1449 4th Edition standards for Type 1 and Type 2 Surge Protective Devices, as well as CSA C22.2 certified. This ensures absolute compliance with strict local building codes and modern National Electrical Code (NEC) requirements for residential whole-home transient protection, giving you complete peace of mind.
