Description
Surgelogic™ Type MA Systems feature module assemblies designed to ensure continued compliance with safety standards and optimal performance specifications following surge events. This is used as a replacement module for Surgelogic™ IMA and EMA Surge Protective Devices, it ensures continued protection and performance. Being modular in design, this unit is able to provide a surge current rating of 160,000 Amps to 240,00 Amps in severe electrical conditions through immediate responses from its advance diagnostic system. Designed for 600Y/347VAC three phase systems. This product is UL and CSA certified.
Features
- Engineered specifically as an open-style, modular replacement asset, the Schneider Electric MAM82 restores continuous transient voltage protection to your facility without requiring a complete system overhaul. It seamlessly retrofits into Schneider Electric and Square D SurgelogicTM IMA and EMA series surge protective devices (SPDs), preserving your original physical footprints and baseline installation investments.
- This transient voltage surge suppressor features a massive 200 kA surge current rating per phase alongside a 200 kA short circuit current rating (SCCR). This high-energy capacity safely diverts downstream electrical strikes and catastrophic overvoltage anomalies on critical commercial lines, maintaining operational uptime and protecting expensive machinery from premature component degradation.
- The MAM82 is precisely calibrated for 600Y/347V AC, 3-phase, 4-wire electrical networks. Featuring a 420V Maximum Continuous Operating Voltage (MCOV), it easily tolerates standard line-voltage fluctuations across heavy-duty 47 to 63 Hz operating frequencies, making it the ideal choice for sub-panels and main service entries facing dirty utility power.
- Equipped with integrated local signaling diagnostics, this surge suppression module utilizes per-phase dual LED indicators to provide instantaneous visual confirmation of system health. A steady green LED verifies normal operation, while a bright red LED signals a phase fault or depletion, removing the guesswork from preventive troubleshooting and accelerating your facility's mean time to repair (MTTR).
