Description
QO and QOB one, two and three pole thermal magnetic circuit breakers provide overcurrent protection and switching on ac and dc systems. These circuit breakers have an over center, trip-free toggle mechanism with quick-make, quick break action and positive handle indication. They also have VisiTrip trip indication, which provides a visual indication that the circuit breaker has tripped and interrupted the circuit. This QO tandem miniature breaker is rated as 15 A and 15 A, 12/24 V, and 1 pole. This unit provides 1 kA breaking capacity and plug-on mounting. A full line of factory installed accessories is also available such auxiliary switches, alarm switches, and shunt trips. This unit is compatible with plug-on neutral system. QO breakers use a compact 3/4 inch width design for small system footprint. Features
- The QO1515 is a single-pole tandem circuit breaker that provides two independent 15-Amp circuits while occupying only one 3/4-inch space in your panel. It is the ideal solution for adding a new circuit to a crowded panelboard without the expense of a sub-panel or a full panel upgrade.
- This breaker features a specific mounting cam (slot) that limits its installation to QO load centers designed to accept tandem breakers. Usually, these panels have "notched" bus bars in specific positions. It is strictly for the Square D QO (Premium) line and will not fit Homeline, Eaton, or Siemens panels.
- Despite its compact size, the QO1515 includes the patented Visi-Trip red indicator for both circuits. If either 15-Amp circuit trips due to an overload or short circuit, a red flag appears in the corresponding window, allowing you to pinpoint the faulted circuit instantly among a sea of black handles.
- Each half of the tandem is rated for 120V AC and features a 10,000 AIR (Amperes Interrupting Rating). It is SWD (Switch Duty) rated, making it suitable for switching fluorescent or LED lighting loads, and HACR rated for use with heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment.
- The breaker is equipped with two separate pressure plate terminals that accept #14 to #8 AWG copper or aluminum wire. Because it provides two circuits in one slot, ensure your panel's neutral bar has enough open terminals to accommodate the two separate neutral wires required for these circuits.
