Description
QO and QOB one, two and three pole thermal magnetic circuit breakers provide overcurrent protection and switching on ac and dc systems. These circuit breakers have an over center, trip free toggle mechanism with quick make, quick break action and positive handle indication. They also have VisiTrip trip indication, which provides a visual indication that the circuit breaker has tripped and interrupted the circuit. This 3 pole QO circuit breaker is rated at 50A at 120/240VAC. This unit provides 10kA breaking capacity and plug in mounting. A full line of features and factory installed accessories are also available such as shunt trips, auxiliary switches and alarm switches. QO circuit breakers are UL Listed under UL File E84967 and are CSA Certified under CSA Master Contract 153555.
Features
- This standard branch circuit breaker features a 3-pole (3P) configuration, allowing it to simultaneously protect and control all three lines of a 3-phase electrical network. It is rated for a continuous operational current of 50 Amps at a maximum system voltage of 240 V AC, making it ideal for standard 3-phase commercial kitchen appliances, larger fractional-horsepower motors, HVAC compressors, and industrial machinery.
- Belonging to Schneider Electric’s industry-standard QO (Quick-Open) product family, this breaker features an exclusive plug-on mounting footprint. It is engineered to snap directly onto the interior bus bars of Square D QO load centers, panelboards, and NQ industrial distribution enclosures, occupying three physical spaces in the panel layout.
- The breaker is equipped with Schneider's signature Visi-Trip indicator, a high-visibility, bright red mechanical flag that pops into view inside the breaker window the moment it trips. This allows plant maintenance crews to immediately locate the faulted circuit out of a dense bank of breakers without guessing.
- Built for robust electrical environments, this breaker delivers a high short-circuit interrupting rating of 10 kA (AIR) at 240 V AC. It is fully CSA certified and UL listed, featuring pressure-plate box lugs that securely clamp copper or aluminum branch wires ranging from 8 AWG to 2 AWG.
