Description
QO and QOB one, two and three pole thermal magnetic circuit breakers provide overcurrent protection and switching on ac and dc systems. These circuit breakers have an over center, trip free toggle mechanism with quick make, quick break action and positive handle indication. They also have VisiTrip trip indication, which provides a visual indication that the circuit breaker has tripped and interrupted the circuit. This 1 pole QO circuit breaker is rated at 15A at 120/240VAC. This unit provides 10kA breaking capacity and bolt on mounting. A full line of features and factory installed accessories are also available such as shunt trips, auxiliary switches and alarm switches. QO circuit breakers are UL Listed under UL File E84967 and are CSA Certified under CSA Master Contract 153555. Features
- The Schneider Square D QOB115 is a premium, single-pole 15-Amp circuit breaker designed for high-reliability commercial and industrial applications. Unlike standard plug-on residential versions, the "B" in QOB signifies a bolt-on connection, which physically secures the breaker to the panel bus bar with a screw. This ensures a permanent, vibration-resistant electrical contact that is mandatory in many data centers, hospitals, and industrial facilities.
- One of the most sought-after features of the QO line is the integrated Visi-Trip™ indicator. When the breaker trips due to a fault, a high-visibility red mechanical flag appears in the handle window. This allows maintenance staff to identify the faulted circuit from across the room at a glance, drastically reducing downtime and troubleshooting effort in large, complex power distribution panels.
- The QOB115 features a sophisticated thermal-magnetic trip mechanism. It provides a time-delay for standard temporary surges (like when a device first powers on) but offers instantaneous protection against high-energy short circuits with a 10kA interrupting rating. This dual-stage defense protects your sensitive electronic equipment and prevents wire overheating that can lead to electrical fires.
- Designed with the space-saving 3/4-inch width standard, the QOB115 allows for a higher number of circuits in a smaller footprint compared to typical 1-inch industrial breakers. This compact design is ideal for modern control cabinets and PDU (Power Distribution Unit) applications where every inch of DIN rail or interior space is at a premium.
- The load-side terminal utilizes a high-quality box-style pressure plate designed to accommodate #14 to #8 AWG copper or aluminum conductors. This design ensures a more secure, gas-tight connection than simple "side-wire" screws, preventing the loose connections that are the leading cause of arcing and heat damage in commercial environments.
