Description
QO and QOB one, two and three pole thermal magnetic circuit breakers provide overcurrent protection and switching on ac and dc systems. These circuit breakers have an over center, trip free toggle mechanism with quick make, quick break action and positive handle indication. They also have VisiTrip trip indication, which provides a visual indication that the circuit breaker has tripped and interrupted the circuit. This 1 pole QO circuit breaker is rated at 30A at 120/240VAC. This unit provides 10kA breaking capacity and plug in mounting. A full line of features and factory installed accessories are also available such as shunt trips, auxiliary switches and alarm switches. QO circuit breakers are UL Listed under UL File E84967 and are CSA Certified under CSA Master Contract 153555. Features
- The QO130 is a 30-Amp, single-pole, plug-on circuit breaker. Part of the legendary Square D QO (Quick-Open) family, it is arguably the most recognizable and trusted breaker in the Canadian electrical industry. It is designed for use in QO load centres, NQ panelboards, and switchboard distribution panels.
- A 30-Amp single-pole breaker is typically used for heavy-duty 120V circuits. In a Canadian home or business, it is commonly found powering: Large RV Receptacles: (30A 120V travel trailer plugs). High-Power Appliances: Such as some commercial microwaves or industrial heat sealers. Dedicated Equipment: Small 120V motors or specialized workshop machinery. Wiring Note: Under the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC), a 30A circuit generally requires #10 AWG copper wire. Using thinner #12 or #14 wire with this breaker is a fire hazard and a code violation.
- The QO130 features the patented Visi-Trip™ indicator. When the breaker trips, a highly visible red flag snaps into a window on the face of the breaker. This allows homeowners and maintenance staff to identify the faulted circuit instantly, without having to guess which handle moved slightly out of place.
- The standard QO130 features a plug-on connection. It snaps directly onto the bus bar of the panel without the need for mounting screws. The QO "dual-spring" jaw design ensures a high-pressure, low-resistance connection that remains tight for decades, even as the metal expands and contracts with temperature changes.
