Description
This Harmony XB4, black selector switch head with standard handle has 3 positions, operates with spring return to center mechanism. This switch head with standard handle provides an ergonomic interface for controlling your machines. It can easily be installed on compatible selector switch units and provide an effective manner to set your machine in various operating modes. It is impact resistant, dust resistant, water resistant and vibration resistant thanks to its IP69K. It has a metal bezel, this makes it Ideal for applications requiring high impact and vibration resistance. It is designed to fit in a standard 22mm cutout, ensuring compatibility when installing in pre-existing machinery. Its wide range of operating temperatures from -40°C to 70°C allows versatility in usage of product.
Features
- The Schneider ZB4BD5 is a high-performance, 22mm 3-position selector switch head from the Harmony XB4 metal range. It is the "business end" of a control switch, designed to be mounted on a machine control panel or pendant station to allow operators to choose between three distinct functional states (such as "Hand-Off-Auto").
- This specific model features a spring return to center from both positions. This means the handle will stay in the left or right position only as long as the operator is physically holding it; once released, it automatically snaps back to the vertical (center) position. This is a critical safety feature for "jogging" motors or momentary command signals.
- The ZB4BD5 features a standard black stay-put handle with a white indicator line for high visibility. The handle is ergonomically shaped to provide a firm grip even for operators wearing industrial work gloves, and its smooth mechanical action provides a tactile "click" so the user can feel the switch engaging.
- As part of the Harmony XB4 family, this operator features a chromium-plated metal bezel. This construction is significantly more durable than plastic alternatives, offering superior resistance to chemical cleaners, heavy impacts, and extreme vibrations found in automotive, mining, and heavy manufacturing environments.
- The ZB4BD5 is built for extreme environments, boasting IP66, IP67, IP69, and IP69K ratings. It is also rated for NEMA 4, 4X, and 13, meaning it is fully protected against high-pressure water jets, dust, and oil seepage. This makes it ideal for food processing plants and outdoor machinery.
