Description
This communication module transmits the diagnostics and data on field buses or networks and belongs to the Modicon MCM, a range of modular safety controllers. This is a non-safe and multi-protocol communication module. It figures LEDs on its front face to display the status, removable spring clamp terminals for electrical connection and is IP20-rated. The network selection is configurable (software), allowing the safety controller to communicate via Ethernet/IP, Modbus TCP, EtherCAT, or PROFINET. It embeds a Mini USB 2.0 connector to receive the configuration done with SoSafe Configurable software, and 2 Ethernet-based RJ45 ports. It has a rated supply voltage of 24V DC and a maximum power dissipation of 3W. It weighs 0.300kg. Its dimension are 22.5mm (Depth), 99mm (Height) and 114.5mm (Width). Its housing is black. A safety control system can communicate across different networks without changing devices. It is certified by the TüV SÜD, RCM, cULus. It reaches Category 4, PL e, according to EN/ISO 13849-1, SIL CL 3, and IEC/EN 61508, IEC/EN 60261. It is compatible with a memory card and the backplane connectors. It is sold in a 1-piece package. It instals on Omega 35mm DIN rail conforming to EN 50022. The Modicon MCM range is designed to provide the most comprehensive protection for personnel and equipment. Modicon MCM range is designed to provide safety applications requiring conformity to Performance Level PL e/Category 4 EN ISO 13849-1 and SIL3 EN/IEC 61508.
