- Built with a robust dual-element design, the LPJ-2SP provides a minimum of 10 seconds of time-delay at 500% of its 2-amp rated current. This allows the fuse to easily ride through high-inrush currents and transient overloads typical of small industrial motors and control transformers, completely eliminating costly nuisance trips while still offering precise backup protection against sustained overloads and single-phasing.
- perating as a true Class J current-limiting device, this fuse responds with lightning speed to catastrophic short-circuit events, drastically restricting peak let-through current. By forcing the fault current down before it can reach its full destructive potential, it shields downstream variable frequency drives (VFDs), NEMA®/IEC® motor controllers, and solid-state relays from thermal and magnetic degradation, ensuring a Type 2 "No Damage" coordination layout.
