ATQR small-dimension fuses feature time-delay characteristics ideally suited for the high inrush currents of control transformers, solenoids, and similar inductive loads. Mersen's Amp-Trap 2000 ATQR fuses provide superior protection for the branch circuits of electrical distribution systems
Features
- The Mersen ATQR4 is a 4-Amp Class CC time-delay fuse specifically designed for the high-inrush currents common in control transformers and solenoids. It provides a minimum 12-second time delay at 200% of its rating, preventing the "nuisance tripping" that occurs when standard fuses can't handle the initial surge of power during equipment startup.
- As a Class CC fuse, the ATQR4 is highly current-limiting. In the event of a short circuit, it reacts in less than half a cycle to "choke" the fault before it can reach its full destructive peak. By drastically reducing the "let-through" energy (I^2t), it shields downstream components from mechanical and thermal stress, keeping your Canadian industrial panels safe and operational.
- Despite its small size, this fuse boasts a massive 200,000 Amp (200kA) interrupting capacity at 600V AC. This allows it to safely extinguish extreme electrical arcs in high-capacity facilities, providing a robust layer of protection that far exceeds the requirements of most standard branch circuits.
- The ATQR series features a unique physical rejection tip on one end cap. When used with a Class CC fuse holder, this design prevents the accidental insertion of non-current-limiting "Midget" fuses. This "fool-proof" safety feature ensures that your system always maintains its engineered level of protection and remains fully compliant with the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC).
