Description
This product is part of the Modicon M171/M172 range, an offer I/O modules for HVAC solutions. This additional I/O module offers 6 discrete inputs with 2 display positive logic (sink) up to 2kHz and 4 display positive logic (sink). It is a module with discrete input voltage of 24V AC/DC, 2.5mA. It offers 10 configurable by pair analogue input with 2 programmable analogue outputs. It is an IP20 rated product. Its dimensions are 72mm (width) x 59mm (depth) x 110mm (height). It weighs 0.19kg. The main application of this module is HVAC control. This product is certified by CE, RCM, EAC, CSA and CURus. - Equipped with 28 built-in inputs and outputs including 10 analog inputs, 6 digital inputs, 2 analog outputs, and 10 digital outputs this module drastically increases the capacity of a primary Modicon TM172 performance controller. This comprehensive I/O mix allows mechanical contractors and system integrators to monitor additional temperature sensors, pressure transducers, and flow switches while simultaneously driving extra fans, dampers, and multi-stage compressors from a single expansion footprint.
- Measuring just 72mm x 59mm x 110mm, this space-saving chassis snaps directly onto standard 35mm DIN rails with minimal footprint overhead. The dense, vertical architecture enables panel builders to optimize layout space inside commercial mechanical rooms, leaving ample room for wire duct routing, power supplies, and terminal blocks.
- Built with highly configurable analog inputs, the module natively accepts a wide variety of standard industrial sensor types without requiring external signal conditioners. This software-defined flexibility allows technicians to mix and match NTC/PTC thermistors, PT1000 sensors, 0-10V voltage lines, and 4-20mA current loops on the fly, streamlining field wiring and reducing inventory complexity.
- Featuring an IP20-rated housing, this expansion unit is designed to prevent finger contact with live electrical components while protecting internal circuitry from solid objects larger than 12mm. This ensures a safe environment for facility technicians performing routine diagnostic work or setting adjustments inside the main electrical panel.
