Description
This safety module is an option for variable speed drives of Altivar range. It provides a fail-safe Ethernet connection between the drive and a Safey PLC using the PROFIsafe protocol over PROFINET. It is compatible with Altivar Machine ATV340 and Altivar Process ATV900 drives. It includes the Safe Torque Off (STO), Safe Stop 1 (SS1), Safe Limited Speed (SLS), and Safe Maximum Speed (SMS) functions. It weights 0,150kg (0,331lb). Altivar Process drives include numerous advanced functions for the more complex applications in each market segment, the safety functions are provided to help protect people and equipment. The safety functions are compliant with the IEC/EN 61800-5-2 standard and the module is TUV NORD certified., Refer to the documentation for proper connection to ensure PROFIsafe functionality. Ideal for segments such as Mining & Metals, Energy & Chemicals, and Consumer Packaged Goods, with a power range from 0.75kW to 2600kW.
