Description
This Harmony XB5, Emergency stop 40mm mushroom red button head operates with a turn to release mechanism. This emergency stop / shutdown button head, is easily combined with contact blocks and installed into standard 22mm diameter cut-outs and connected with simple screw-clamp connections. It is clearly distinguishable visually at a distance thanks to a clear color and a prominent 40mm mushroom shape. It is impact resistant, dust resistant, water resistant and vibration resistant thanks to its IP66 / IP67 / IP69 / IP69K. It has a plastic bezel, this makes it ideal for applications requiring good resistance to chemical agents and/or double electrical insulation. It is designed to fit in a standard 22mm cutout, ensuring compatibility when installing in pre-existing machinery. Its wide range of operating temperatures from -40°C to 70°C allows versatility in usage of product.

- The Schneider Electric Harmony ZB5AS844 is a specialized 22mm Emergency Stop (E-Stop) mushroom head featuring a "Trigger Action" mechanism. This safety-critical design ensures that the contacts are only actuated when the button is fully depressed, preventing accidental stops while ensuring a positive, latching shut-down when required by an operator.
- This model features a "Turn-to-Release" reset function. Once the 40mm red mushroom head is pushed and latches into the "OFF" position, it must be rotated clockwise to reset the circuit. This deliberate manual action is a standard safety requirement in Canadian industrial settings to ensure that machinery cannot be restarted until the area is visually cleared and the button is manually released.
- Constructed from high-grade plastic (ZB5 series), this actuator is highly resistant to chemical corrosion and electrical interference. With IP66, IP67, IP69, and IP69K ratings, it is specifically designed to withstand high-pressure, high-temperature wash-downs, making it the ideal choice for food processing, pharmaceutical, and outdoor maritime applications.
