Description
Harmony 22 mm modular push buttons, selector switches, pilot lights are designed for industry. This range combines simplicity of setup, flexibility and a robust construction. An ingenious locking system consisting of a snap fit head and body that can be tightened with a single screw but still ensuring an easy and yet secure mounting. Harmony XB4/ZB4 are 22 mm chromium plated metal modular push buttons, selector switches and pilot lights connecting to fully metal mounting collar. The operators can be purchased as complete operators or various modules that can be assembled to meet the user’s specific requirement. Harmony XB5/ZB5 are 22 mm plastic modular push buttons, selector switches, pilot lights. The operator can have a round and square plastic bezel. It is designed to fit in a standard 22mm cutout, ensuring compatibility when installing in pre-existing machinery. The contacts can be used for low load electrical contact and high power applications. Shake proof connection screws make periodic retightening unnecessary. A complete set of accessories to provide a solution for applications where exposure to high pressure cleaning, dust and extreme temperatures is an everyday occurrence. These harmony 22mm push buttons are used by machine manufacturers (automotive, textiles, timber) and control system panel builders. Certified and approved for meeting requirements throughout all continents: EN/IEC, UL, NEMA, CSA, CCC, Gost, JIS and many more. They have UL and CE markings and have ratings up to IP66 and IP69K.
Features
- The Schneider Electric Harmony ZB5AS844 is a specialized 22mm Emergency Stop (E-Stop) mushroom head featuring a "Trigger Action" mechanism. This safety-critical design ensures that the contacts are only actuated when the button is fully depressed, preventing accidental stops while ensuring a positive, latching shut-down when required by an operator.
- This model features a "Turn-to-Release" reset function. Once the 40mm red mushroom head is pushed and latches into the "OFF" position, it must be rotated clockwise to reset the circuit. This deliberate manual action is a standard safety requirement in Canadian industrial settings to ensure that machinery cannot be restarted until the area is visually cleared and the button is manually released.
- Constructed from high-grade plastic (ZB5 series), this actuator is highly resistant to chemical corrosion and electrical interference. With IP66, IP67, IP69, and IP69K ratings, it is specifically designed to withstand high-pressure, high-temperature wash-downs, making it the ideal choice for food processing, pharmaceutical, and outdoor maritime applications.
- The 40mm diameter mushroom head provides a large, ergonomic target that can be struck quickly even with gloved hands or in high-stress situations. Its vibrant red cap against a standard yellow E-Stop legend plate (sold separately) ensures the button is immediately identifiable to personnel, meeting strict global and CSA safety visibility standards.
