Description
Schneider Electric's Square D heavy duty safety switch is designed to be tough, reliable and provide exceptional performance in the most grueling conditions. All heavy duty safety switches feature a quick-make, quick-break operating mechanism, a dual cover interlock, and a color coded indicator handle. They also come with many field installable or factory installed accessories. This electrical interlock for switches rated 100A to 200A comes in kit form for field installation. A pivot arm operates from switch mechanism, breaking the control circuit before the main switch blades break. Each kit contains instructions for proper field mounting. It is UL listed.

- Featuring a Single Pole Double Throw (SPDT) configuration with one Normally Open and one Normally Closed contact, this kit integrates auxiliary signaling directly with your heavy-duty disconnect. It allows industrial electricians to seamlessly interlock peripheral systems such as signaling a PLC on switch status, triggering indicator lights, or disabling control loops before the main power blades engage, ensuring synchronized equipment automation and protecting nearby machinery.
- Engineered precisely for Schneider Electric's family of 100-Amp and 200-Amp General Duty safety switches, this internal kit provides an exact, drop-in mechanical alignment. It eliminates mounting guesswork, clearance issues, and field modifications, ensuring that the heavy internal mechanism moves in perfect alignment with the external operating handle, preventing binding or premature hardware failure.
- By installing this kit as an electrical interlock, the contacts can be configured to open before the main power poles of the safety switch break. This mechanical lead time allows control circuits to safely drop out magnetic contactors or variable frequency drives (VFDs) first, completely eliminating high-energy inductive arcing across the main switch blades and greatly extending your electrical infrastructure's service life.
