Description
QO and QOB one, two and three pole thermal magnetic circuit breakers provide overcurrent protection and switching on ac and dc systems. These circuit breakers have an over center, trip free toggle mechanism with quick make, quick break action and positive handle indication. They also have VisiTrip trip indication, which provides a visual indication that the circuit breaker has tripped and interrupted the circuit. This 2 pole QO circuit breaker is rated at 100A at 120/240VAC. This unit provides 10kA breaking capacity and plug in mounting. A full line of features and factory installed accessories are also available such as shunt trips, auxiliary switches and alarm switches. QO circuit breakers are UL Listed under UL File E84967 and are CSA Certified under CSA Master Contract 153555. Features
- The Schneider (Square D) QO2100 is a 100-Amp, 2-Pole circuit breaker. It is the highest-rated standard branch breaker in the QO family, occupying two slots in your panel to provide 240V power. It is designed to protect heavy-duty Canadian residential and commercial circuits, such as 100A sub-panel feeders, large electric furnaces, or high-capacity EV charging stations.
- This is a "Plug-On" breaker designed specifically for Square D QO loadcentres. It is not compatible with Homeline, Eaton, or Siemens panels. The QO series is preferred by Canadian electricians for its unique "covered bus" design, which reduces the risk of accidental contact with live parts during installation or maintenance.
- Like all authentic QO breakers, the QO2100 features the patented Visi-Trip™ indicator. When the breaker trips due to an overload or short circuit, a highly visible red flag snaps into view in the handle window. This allows homeowners and maintenance staff to instantly identify the faulted circuit at a glance, even in a crowded or dimly lit electrical room.
- The QO2100 is engineered with a high-speed switching mechanism that snaps the contacts open or closed faster than the human hand can move the handle. This "Quick-Make/Quick-Break" design minimizes internal arcing, which is critical for a 100A breaker handling large amounts of energy, significantly extending the life of the breaker.
- This breaker carries a 10,000 Amp Interrupting Rating (AIR) at 120/240V AC. This ensures that the breaker can safely clear a massive short circuit without catastrophic failure, protecting your property’s wiring and the upstream utility infrastructure according to Canadian safety standards.
