Description
QO and QOB one, two and three pole thermal magnetic circuit breakers provide overcurrent protection and switching on ac and dc systems. These circuit breakers have an over center, trip free toggle mechanism with quick make, quick break action and positive handle indication. They also have VisiTrip trip indication, which provides a visual indication that the circuit breaker has tripped and interrupted the circuit. This 2 pole QO circuit breaker is rated at 60A at 120/240VAC. This unit provides 10kA breaking capacity and plug in mounting. A full line of features and factory installed accessories are also available such as shunt trips, auxiliary switches and alarm switches. QO circuit breakers are UL Listed under UL File E84967 and are CSA Certified under CSA Master Contract 153555. Features
- The Schneider Square D QO260 is a two-pole circuit breaker rated at 60 Amps and 120/240V AC. It is a heavy-duty power solution typically used for the largest residential and commercial loads, such as sub-panel feeds, large electric furnaces, high-capacity tankless water heaters, and heavy-duty industrial machinery.
- As part of the premium QO (Square D) family, the QO260 features a compact 3/4-inch width per pole (1.5 inches total). It is built to higher industrial-grade standards than "economy" breakers, offering superior durability, better heat dissipation, and a more robust internal mechanism designed for decades of reliable service.
- A standout feature of the QO260 is the Visi-Trip™ red indicator. If the breaker trips due to an overload or short circuit, a highly visible red mechanical flag appears in a window on the breaker face. This eliminates the guesswork of trying to determine if a handle is "tripped" or simply "off," allowing for faster and safer troubleshooting.
- The QO260 utilizes the industry-standard QO plug-on mounting system. It snaps directly onto the bus bar of any Square D QO load center or NQ panelboard. The "jaw" design creates a high-pressure, gas-tight electrical contact that prevents the arcing and terminal loosening that can lead to panel failure in high-amperage 60A circuits.
- This breaker provides a dual-layer defense. The thermal element protects against sustained overloads (drawing too much power over time), while the magnetic element provides instantaneous protection against high-energy short circuits with a 10kA interrupting rating (AIR), cutting power in milliseconds to prevent electrical fires.
