Features
- The LC1D09M7 is a 3-pole TeSys Deca (formerly TeSys D) non-reversing contactor. It is one of the most widely used industrial control components in Canada, serving as the "switch" that allows a low-power control signal to turn a high-power motor or load on and off.
- This is a 9-Amp contactor (AC-3 rating). At 480V: It can handle a 3-phase motor up to 5 HP. At 600V: (Standard Canadian industrial voltage), it is rated for up to 7.5 HP. Resistive Loads (AC-1): If used for heating or lighting rather than motors, it is rated for up to 25 Amps.
- The "M7" suffix is critical it specifies a 220V/230V AC (50/60Hz) control coil. This is common in Canadian industrial settings where control power is tapped across two phases of a 208V system or derived from a control transformer. Safety Note: Always verify your control circuit voltage. Applying 120V to an M7 coil will result in the contactor failing to pull in, while 480V will instantly destroy the coil.
- The LC1D09M7 comes standard with 1 NO (Normally Open) + 1 NC (Normally Closed) auxiliary contacts. The NO contact is often used for "holding" the circuit (seal-in) or signaling a "Run" light. The NC contact is typically used for electrical interlocking or "Off" status feedback.
- If the built-in contacts aren't enough, this unit is fully compatible with the LADN series of front-mount auxiliary blocks and GVAN side-mount blocks. It can also be paired with a LRD09 thermal overload relay to create a complete motor starter.
