Description

TeSys Deca contactor, 3 poles (3NO), for motor control applications up to 65A/690V AC-3 (30kW@400V). They can be used to create motor starters for almost any type of application. It provides a 120V 50/60Hz AC coil, 1NO+1NC built-in auxiliary contacts (NC mirror certified), power connection by screw terminals, control connection by screw clamp terminals. For operating rates until 3600 cycles/hour and environments until 60°C, it procures high reliability and durability. Compact (75mm width), DIN-rail mounting or screw fixing. These contactors have UL, CSA, GOST, RINA, BV, CCC, DNV, GL, LROS certifications. Multi standards certified (IEC, UL, CSA, CCC, EAC, Marine).

Features

  • The Schneider Electric LC1D65G7 is a 3-pole TeSys Deca (formerly TeSys D) contactor designed for heavy-duty power switching. Unlike a control relay, this unit is built to handle high-current loads, making it a primary component for starting and stopping industrial motors, heaters, and lighting systems in Canadian manufacturing and commercial facilities.
  • Rated for 65 Amps (AC-3), this contactor is a powerhouse. In a typical 3-phase Canadian industrial setup, it can safely control a motor up to 50 HP at 600V or 40 HP at 480V. For non-inductive resistive loads (AC-1), its capacity increases to 80 Amps, making it suitable for large industrial heating banks.
  • The "G7" suffix indicates a 120V AC (50/60Hz) coil. This is the most prevalent control voltage for industrial panels in Canada, allowing the contactor to be integrated easily into circuits powered by standard control transformers. The coil is designed to handle the wide voltage fluctuations often seen in heavy industrial environments without "chattering" or failing.
  • Every LC1D65G7 comes standard with 1 Normally Open (NO) and 1 Normally Closed (NC) built-in auxiliary contact. These are essential for providing feedback to a PLC (indicating "Motor Running" or "Faulted") or for creating electrical interlocks with other contactors in reversing or multi-speed motor starters.
  • A standout feature of the 65A model is Schneider s patented EverLinkTM terminal technology. These screw terminals utilize a spring-loaded system that maintains a constant pressure on the wire, even as the copper cold-flows or vibrates over time. This virtually eliminates the need for periodic re-tightening of lugs, a major time-saver for Canadian maintenance teams.
