Description
These TeSys VLS disconnect switches are for integration into control systems in applications like material handling, HVAC, pumping, solar energy, mining and many more. This family of disconnect switches has switches ranging from 16A to 125A. The 16A, 25A, 32A, 40A and 63A disconnect switches are UL508 motor disconnect switches rated. The 30A, 63A, 80A, 100A and 125A disconnect switches are UL98 non fusible disconnect switch rated. This 63A disconnect switch has 3 normally open poles and mounts on DIN rail. Per UL and CSA this this disconnect switch has a 2 HP rating at 120 VAC and a 7.5 HP at 240 VAC single phase. Per UL and CSA this disconnect switch has a 10 HP rating at 200 to 208 VAC, a 15 HP rating at 240 VAC, a 30 HP rating at 480 VAC and a 30 HP rating at 600 VAC three phase. Per UL508A this this disconnect switch has up to a 5 kA at 600 V short circuit current rating (SCCR) with a 30A Type RK5 fuse maximum. Per IEC requirements, this disconnect switch has a 22 kW rating at 400 V, a 22 kW rating at 500 V and a 22 kW rating at 690V three phase. The screw clamp terminals will accept 10 mm solid or 16 mm stranded wire. The clamps will also accept solid or stranded wire from 18 AWG to 6 AWG. This disconnect switch is 3.07 inches tall, 1.42 inches wide and 2.95 inches deep. The switch weighs 0.30 lbs. There are many handles and accessories available this TeSys VLS disconnect switch. - Engineered for demanding applications, this 3-pole high-performance switch features a 60A UL508 rating (63A IEC) and delivers an impressive 30 HP capacity at 480VAC/600VAC. This ensures reliable load-break performance and safety under full load conditions when controlling heavy machinery, manufacturing conveyor belts, or three-phase ventilation systems.
- Designed with a space-saving 36mm width (Size 1), this compact body switch snaps directly onto a standard 35mm DIN rail via rear clips with zero tool requirements. The integrated slide-resistant rubber inserts keep the switch locked securely in place, freeing up critical enclosure real estate while accelerating system assembly time.
- Equipped with a robust 50 kA Rated Conditional Short Circuit Current (SCCR) when paired with a matching 63A gG upstream fuse (or 5kA at 400V with a 45A RK5 fuse), this disconnector minimizes the risk of catastrophic equipment damage during overcurrent events. This provides predictable safety metrics required for strict facility risk assessments and plant uptime strategies.
- The power circuit utilizes heavy-duty box lug screw clamp terminals that accept a broad AWG 18 to AWG 6 copper conductor range. This ensures an exceptionally low-resistance connection that resists loosening under thermal cycling, handling high tightening torques up to 2 N.m to protect against localized arc flash vulnerabilities.
- This TeSys VLS disconnector carries full UL 508, CSA C22.2 No 14, and IEC 60947-3 certifications alongside cULus and GL approvals. You can specify and install this component across Canadian and international projects with absolute confidence that it will pass strict field inspections, safety audits, and OEM equipment regulations.
