Description
These TeSys VLS disconnect switches are for integration into control systems in applications like material handling, HVAC, pumping, solar energy, mining and many more. This family of disconnect switches has switches ranging from 16A to 125A. The 16A, 25A, 32A, 40A and 63A disconnect switches are UL508 motor disconnect switches rated. The 63A, 80A, 100A and 125A disconnect switches are UL98 non fusible disconnect switch rated. This disconnect switch is rated 60A per UL. It has 3 normally open poles and mounts on DIN rail. Per UL and CSA this this disconnect switch has a 3 HP rating at 120 VAC and a 7.5 HP at 240 VAC single phase. Per UL and CSA this disconnect switch has a 20HP rating at 200 to 208 VAC and 240 VAC, a 40 HP rating at 480 VAC and a 40 HP rating at 600 VAC three phase. This disconnect switch has up to a 100 kA at 480 V short circuit current rating (SCCR) with a 200A Type J fuse maximum. Per IEC requirements, this disconnect switch has a 30 kW rating at 400 V, a 45 kW rating at 500 V and a 45 kW rating at 690V three phase. The screw clamps will accept from 12 AWG to 1 AWG wire. The screw clamp terminals will also accept 4 mm to 70 mm wire. This disconnect switch is 3.94 inches tall, 2.75 inches wide and 2.95 inches deep. The switch weighs 0.80 lbs. - Rated for 60 Amps under strict UL98 guidelines (63 Amps per IEC) at up to 600V AC, this Size 2 non-fusible body switch safely manages heavy inductive three-phase motor profiles up to 40 HP at both 480V and 600V AC. For industrial plant maintenance engineers, this structural capacity guarantees stable, heavy-duty load shedding for deep-well water pumps, heavy conveyor belts, and massive HVAC packaging stations without overheating the main internal contact block.
- Unlike standard UL508 motor-rated switches, this premium switch body is fully certified to the stringent UL98 and CSA C22.2 No. 4 safety criteria, designating it as a certified branch-circuit emergency main isolation device. This premium classification means the housing can be positioned on the line side of upstream overcurrent protection systems, streamlining compliance checks for complex industrial code panels and electrical service entrances.
- Boasting an exceptionally space-efficient layout, this Size 2 switch measures just 70mm (2.76 inches) wide, 75mm tall, and 100mm deep. The low-profile modular chassis clips securely onto a standard 35mm DIN rail or backplate, enabling automation panel assembly crews to squeeze heavy current isolation links into crowded electrical cabinets and compact marshalling enclosures.
- The heavy-duty screw-clamp terminal terminals are specifically designed with an wide landing profile that tightly anchors copper wires ranging from 12 AWG up to 1 AWG. Torquing down to the factory-certified specification of 44.2 to 53.1 lbf-in (5 to 6 N-m) establishes a solid, gas-tight mechanical clamp that resists machine vibrations and thermal movement, eliminating localized hot spots and joint failures.
