Features
- The Bussmann LP-CC-5 is a premium Class CC Low-Peak™ fuse, engineered to provide the highest level of protection in a compact footprint. As a current-limiting device, it reacts in less than 0.008 seconds to "clamp" short-circuit energy before it reaches its destructive peak, which is critical for protecting sensitive downstream components and helping your panel achieve a high Short-Circuit Current Rating (SCCR).
- Featuring advanced dual-element, time-delay technology, this 5-Amp fuse is specifically designed to ignore the heavy momentary inrush currents associated with control transformers and small motor starts. It provides a minimum 12-second delay at 200% of its rated current, preventing "nuisance blowing" during startup while still offering rapid response to genuine overloads and faults.
- As a Class CC fuse, the LP-CC-5 features a unique physical rejection tip on the end cap. This safety feature ensures it can only be installed in a dedicated Class CC fuse holder (like the Bussmann CHCC series), preventing the dangerous accidental installation of standard 13/32" x 1-1/2" "midget" fuses that lack the same interrupting and current-limiting ratings.
- This fuse is fully rated for 600V AC (and 300V DC) and boasts a massive 200,000 Amp Interrupting Rating (AIR). This allows it to be used safely in virtually any Canadian industrial or commercial power system, ensuring the fuse can safely quench an arc even when installed at a point in the circuit with very high available fault current.
