Features

  • The Bussmann LP-CC-3 is a Class CC Low-Peak™ fuse, engineered to provide the highest level of protection in a compact size. As a "Current-Limiting" fuse, it reacts in less than half a cycle (0.008 seconds) to "clamp" short-circuit energy before it reaches its destructive peak. This is essential for protecting sensitive contactors, solid-state relays, and PLCs in Canadian industrial control panels from catastrophic failure.
  • Despite its small size, this 3-Amp fuse features dual-element, time-delay characteristics. It is specifically designed to withstand the heavy momentary surges of small motor starts and control transformer inrush. It provides a minimum 12-second delay at 200% of its rated current, preventing "nuisance blowing" during startup while still offering high-speed protection against dangerous faults.
  • As a Class CC fuse, the LP-CC-3 features a unique physical rejection tip. This ensures it can only be installed in a dedicated Class CC fuse holder (like the Bussmann CHCC series), preventing the accidental installation of standard "midget" fuses that lack the high interrupting rating and branch-circuit certification required by code.
  • The LP-CC-3 is fully rated for 600V AC and boasts a massive 200,000 Amp Interrupting Rating (AIR). This allows it to be used safely in almost any Canadian industrial or commercial power system, regardless of the available fault current at the service entrance, ensuring your installation remains safe and fully compliant with the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC).
