- The Bussmann LPJ-60SP is a Class J Low-Peak™ fuse, engineered for ultimate current limitation. It is designed to react in less than 0.008 seconds during a short circuit, "clamping" the fault energy before it can reach its destructive peak. This provides superior protection for sensitive components like VFDs, large contactors, and soft starters, often helping your entire control panel achieve a higher Short-Circuit Current Rating (SCCR).
- Featuring advanced dual-element, time-delay technology, this 60-Amp fuse is specifically designed to withstand the massive momentary current surges associated with motor starts and transformer inrush. It provides a minimum 10-second delay at 500% of its rated current, ensuring your equipment powers up reliably without "nuisance blowing," while still offering high-speed protection against dangerous faults.
- The LPJ-60SP is fully rated for 600V AC (and 300V DC) with a massive 300,000 Amp Interrupting Rating (AIR). This allows it to be used safely in virtually any Canadian industrial, mining, or water treatment facility, ensuring your power distribution remains secure and fully compliant with the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC).
- The Class J footprint is significantly more compact than equivalent Class R or Class H fuses. This compact design allows Canadian panel builders to use smaller disconnect switches and fuse blocks, such as the CH60J series, saving valuable interior "real estate" in electrical enclosures without sacrificing interrupting performance or safety.
