Description
Amp-Trap 2000 time-delay ATDR small-dimension fuses provide IEC Type 2 "no damage" protection to your facility's increasingly sensitive branch circuit components and small motors - minimizing the risk of fault-related damage. ATDR Class CC fuses deliver the best time-delay characteristics in their class with excellent cycling ability for small motor loads.
Features
- The ATDR2 is a 2-Amp, 600V AC/300V DC Class CC time-delay fuse from Mersen’s Amp-Trap 2000® series. It features a specialized "rejection" tip—a physical nub on the end of the fuse—that prevents it from being replaced by a standard "midget" fuse of a lower safety rating, ensuring the circuit remains protected to its engineered specification.
- This fuse is specifically designed to protect small motors and control transformers. The time-delay (slow-blow) characteristic allows it to "ride through" the momentary high-current inrush that occurs when a motor starts or a transformer is energized. This prevents nuisance tripping while still providing critical protection against sustained overloads.
- In the event of a short circuit, the ATDR2 is extremely fast. It provides IEC Type 2 "No Damage" protection, reacting in less than half a cycle (<0.008 seconds). With a 200,000 Amp interrupting rating, it drastically limits the "let-through" energy (I^2t), preventing damage to sensitive downstream components like contactors and PLC outputs.
- Built with a high-grade fiberglass body and silver-plated copper contact caps, the ATDR2 is engineered for dimensional stability. Unlike cheaper fiber-bodied fuses, it will not become brittle or lose its electrical characteristics in the high-temperature environments often found inside compact control cabinets or rooftop HVAC units.
- The Mersen ATDR2 is UL Listed to Standard 248-4 (Class CC) and CSA Certified to Standard C22.2. Its high interrupting capacity and exceptional cycling ability make it a top choice for meeting NEC® and CEC® requirements for branch circuit protection in industrial machinery, automation systems, and commercial lighting panels.
