Description
Amp-Trap 2000 time-delay ATDR small-dimension fuses provide IEC Type 2 "no damage" protection to your facility's increasingly sensitive branch circuit components and small motors - minimizing the risk of fault-related damage. ATDR Class CC fuses deliver the best time-delay characteristics in their class with excellent cycling ability for small motor loads.
Features
- The Mersen ATDR8 is an 8-Amp, 600V AC Class CC time-delay fuse. As part of the premium Amp-Trap 2000® family, it is specifically engineered to provide the best possible protection for control transformers, solenoids, and inductive loads where high "inrush" currents are present.
- Control transformers draw a massive amount of current the moment they are turned on (magnetizing inrush). The ATDR8 features a highly effective time-delay characteristic that allows it to hold during these temporary surges without blowing, while still reacting instantly to dangerous short circuits to protect sensitive downstream components.
- This fuse features the rejection-style "button" tip unique to Class CC. This physical design ensures it can only be used in Class CC fuse blocks, preventing someone from accidentally replacing it with a non-rejection fuse (like a Midget fuse) that may have a lower interrupting rating.
- Despite its small size (13/32 times 1-1/2 inches), the ATDR8 is rated for an incredible 200,000 Amps (200kA) interrupting capacity at 600V AC. It is a highly current-limiting fuse, meaning it "clips" the peak of a fault current before it can reach its full destructive potential, protecting your equipment from thermal and mechanical stress.
- In addition to its AC rating, the ATDR8 is UL listed for 300V DC applications (with a 100kA I.R.). This makes it a versatile choice for modern industrial panels that often mix 600V AC power with DC control circuits for PLCs and sensors.
