Features
- The Mersen ATQR5 is a 5-Amp Class CC time-delay fuse specifically engineered for the high inrush currents associated with control transformers, solenoids, and small motor loads. Its "rejection-style" design provides a minimum 12-second time delay at 200% of its rating, preventing the common frustration of nuisance tripping during equipment startup.
- As a Class CC fuse, the ATQR5 is highly current-limiting, reacting in less than half a cycle to clear a short circuit. By drastically reducing the "let-through" energy (I^2t), it shields delicate downstream components from the mechanical and thermal stresses of a fault, ensuring your control panels remain operational and safe.
- Despite its compact size, this fuse boasts a massive 200,000 Amp (200kA) AC interrupting rating. This allows it to safely extinguish extreme electrical arcs in high-capacity Canadian industrial facilities, providing a robust layer of protection that exceeds standard safety requirements for most branch circuits.
- The ATQR series features a unique physical rejection tip on the end cap. When used with a Class CC fuse holder, this design prevents the accidental insertion of non-current-limiting "Midget" fuses.
