Description

Amp-Trap 2000 time-delay ATDR small-dimension fuses provide IEC Type 2 "no damage" protection to your facility's increasingly sensitive branch circuit components and small motors - minimizing the risk of fault-related damage. ATDR Class CC fuses deliver the best time-delay characteristics in their class with excellent cycling ability for small motor loads.

Features

  • The Mersen ATDR1-1/2 is a 1.5-Amp, 600V AC Amp-Trap 2000® Class CC fuse. It is a premium, "smart" fuse designed specifically to provide the highest level of protection for control transformers, solenoids, and small motor branch circuits in Canadian industrial and commercial settings.
  • This fuse features a sophisticated time-delay characteristic. It is engineered to "ride through" the temporary high-current surges caused by starting small motors or energizing control transformers (up to 1.5 Amps), preventing nuisance blowing while still offering pinpoint accuracy for long-term overloads.
  • Despite its small physical size, the ATDR1-1/2 boasts a massive 200,000 Amp Interrupting Rating (AIC). This ensures that the fuse can safely clear even the most violent short-circuit faults without rupturing, protecting your control panel’s internal components and the personnel working near them.
  • As a Class CC fuse, the ATDR1-1/2 is highly current-limiting. It reacts to short circuits in less than half a cycle, drastically reducing the "let-through" energy ($I^2t$). This prevents the thermal and magnetic forces of a fault from damaging downstream components like contactors and sensitive PLC input modules.
  • The "Class CC" designation means this fuse has a unique rejection tip on one end. When used with a Class CC fuse holder, this physical feature prevents the installation of standard midget fuses (which lack the 200kA rating and current-limiting properties), ensuring the integrity of your engineered safety system.
