Description
The High Speed Class J (HSJ) combines the low I2t of a semiconductor fuse and the branch-circuit performance of a Class J UL Listed fuse into a single design. The HSJ can provide both branch circuit protection per NEC requirements, as well as very low I2t for protection of power semiconductors such as Diodes, SCRs, GTOs and SSRs.

- The Mersen HSJ25 is a specialized high-speed hybrid that combines the low thermal energy (I^2t) let-through of a semiconductor fuse with the branch-circuit capabilities of a standard Class J fuse. This eliminates the need to install two separate fuses, satisfying National Electrical Code (NEC) branch-circuit safety requirements while directly safeguarding your sensitive solid-state components like SCRs, diodes, and Triacs.
- This 25-Amp cartridge fuse is fully rated for up to 600V AC and 500V DC, providing a massive 200kA AC and 100kA DC interrupting rating (AIC). These aggressive current-limiting metrics isolate severe faults almost instantly, shielding your downstream panels, control circuits, and automated machinery from catastrophic arc flash or thermal damage.
- Featuring a standard North American ferrule terminal design measuring 13/16 inches in diameter by 2-1/4 inches in length, the HSJ25 drops directly into your existing standard Class J clips, blocks, or UltraSafe disconnect switches. The compact footprint preserves valuable interior real estate inside tight control enclosures without demanding costly electrical backplate re-drilling or component layout modifications.
