Description
Amp-Trap 2000® AJT fuses provide non-indication as well as a SmartSpot visual open fuse indicator. With advanced material technology the AJT fuse provides IEC Type 2 No Damage protection to main, feeder, and branch circuits, for all types of loads — yet, they require only half the mounting space needed for 600VAC Class RK fuses. AJT’s time-delay characteristics are ideal for handling typical motor and transformer inrush currents, while also providing superior current-limiting ability.

- Engineered with an advanced time-delay characteristic, this fuse is designed to handle temporary inrush currents from motor starts and transformer magnetizing without nuisance blowing. This allows you to size fuses closer to the actual load, providing superior protection while eliminating the costly operational downtime associated with standard fast-acting fuses.
- The AJT6N is a highly current-limiting device that rapidly interrupts short-circuit currents before they reach their full destructive peak. This extreme level of protection reduces the mechanical and thermal stress on your sensitive electrical components, helping your system achieve higher Short Circuit Current Ratings (SCCR) and protecting your capital investment from catastrophic failure.
- Rated for 6 Amps at 600V AC, this fuse utilizes the small Class J physical footprint, which is nearly half the size of traditional Class RK fuses. This compact design enables industrial engineers and panel builders to downsize enclosures and disconnect switches, saving valuable floor space in manufacturing environments while maintaining a massive 200kA interrupting rating.
- With its unique combination of time-delay and high current limitation, this fuse is ideal for the branch circuit protection of variable frequency drives (VFDs) and solid-state controllers.
