Description
Amp-Trap 2000® AJT fuses provide non-indication as well as a SmartSpot visual open fuse indicator. With advanced material technology the AJT fuse provides IEC Type 2 No Damage protection to main, feeder, and branch circuits, for all types of loads — yet, they require only half the mounting space needed for 600VAC Class RK fuses. AJT’s time-delay characteristics are ideal for handling typical motor and transformer inrush currents, while also providing superior current-limiting ability.

- The AJT15 is a premium 15-Amp, 600V Class J fuse, offering the highest level of protection in a compact physical footprint. Its unique dimensions prevent the accidental installation of lower-rated "midget" or Class RK fuses, ensuring your motor starters and sensitive electronic controllers are always protected by a high-performance current-limiting device.
- Engineered with advanced time-delay properties, the AJT15 is designed to "ride through" the temporary high inrush currents of small motors and control transformers. It provides a minimum of 10 seconds of delay at 500% of its rating, effectively eliminating nuisance tripping during equipment startup while maintaining instantaneous protection against dangerous short circuits.
- As a highly current-limiting fuse, the AJT15 reacts in less than 1/4 of a cycle during a fault. By drastically limiting the peak "let-through" energy ($I^2t$), it shields sensitive components like Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and PLC modules from catastrophic thermal damage, often achieving Type 2 "No Damage" protection.
- With a massive 200,000 Amp RMS interrupting rating, this fuse is suitable for use in locations with extremely high available fault current. It allows you to achieve a high Short Circuit Current Rating (SCCR) for your control panels, ensuring the fuse can safely clear a catastrophic short circuit without the risk of explosion or Arc Flash hazard.
- Constructed with a high-strength fiberglass body, the AJT15 is dimensionally stable in high-heat industrial environments. Most versions feature Mersen s SmartSpot visual indicator, which allows maintenance teams to identify a blown fuse at a glance without the need for manual meter testing, significantly reducing troubleshooting time and downtime.
