Description
This Harmony XB5 emergency stop / shutdown 40mm mushroom red button head operates with a latched push-pull mechanism. It provides an ergonomic interface for controlling your machines. It is easily installed on compatible complete emergency stop and switching off push buttons. It is clearly distinguishable visually at a distance thanks to a clear color and a prominent 40mm mushroom shape. It is impact resistant, dust resistant, water resistant and vibration resistant thanks to its IP66. It makes it ideal for operation in harsh environments.
Features
- The Schneider ZB5AT8643M is a 22mm illuminated emergency stop (E-stop) mushroom head from the Harmony XB5 plastic range. It is designed to provide both a physical emergency shutdown mechanism and visual status signaling in a single, high-visibility operator.
- This head features trigger action mechanical latching. This means the internal contacts will not change state until the button is fully depressed to the "trip" point, preventing accidental stops. Once pressed, it locks in place (latches) and requires a intentional push-pull action to reset, ensuring the machine cannot be restarted until the area is cleared.
- A key feature of the ZB5AT8643M is the built-in 360° mechanical indicator. A colored ring (typically red/green) around the base of the mushroom head provides a clear visual confirmation of whether the button is active or reset, even if the illumination power is lost.
- The "mushroom" is made of a translucent red plastic designed to be used with an integral LED block. When combined with a ZB5 light block and a contact block, the head glows, making it much easier for operators to locate the emergency stop in dark environments or during a system fault
- The head features a 40mm diameter "mushroom" shape. This large surface area is designed for ergonomic "slap" activation, allowing an operator to hit the button quickly with their palm or fingers during an emergency without needing precision.
