• The Schneider RXZR335 is a plastic maintaining clamp (also known as a retaining clip) designed to secure a plug-in relay into its socket. Its primary job is to ensure that the relay remains fully seated and connected, even when subjected to heavy industrial vibration or physical shock.
• This clamp is specifically designed for the Harmony RXM (Miniature) and RUM (Universal) relay ranges. It is most commonly used with the RXZE series sockets (like the RXZE2M114). Because there are different clamp sizes for various relay heights, it is important to match the RXZR335 specifically to its intended miniature relay family.
• In industrial environments such as near large motors, compressors, or on moving machinery vibration can slowly "walk" a relay out of its socket over time. This leads to intermittent contact or total system failure. The RXZR335 provides a mechanical lock that makes a "loose relay" impossible, significantly increasing the reliability of the control panel.
• The clamp features a simple, snap-on design. 1. Plug the relay into the socket. 2. Hook the bottom of the clamp into the designated slots on the sides of the socket. 3. Snap the top of the clip over the top of the relay. It can be removed just as easily by hand when it s time to replace the relay, requiring no screwdrivers or specialized tools.
• Manufactured from high-strength, flexible plastic, the RXZR335 is non-conductive and lightweight. It is designed to sit around the perimeter of the relay, ensuring it does not block the view of the LED status indicator or the operation of the manual test button.
