Description
The Next Generation Power Distribution Block (PDB). Mersen power distribution blocks provide a safe and easy method of splicing cables, splitting primary power into secondary circuits and fulfilling requirements for fixed junction tap-off points. All blocks are UL and CSA approved while meeting spacing requirements for feeder and branch circuits in conjunction with UL508A and the National Electrical Code®. PDB options include single or dual conductor primary inputs and up to 30 secondary outputs. Specialty blocks are available allowing for up to 7 primary inputs. The MPDB series is offered in three size categories: miniature (MPDB62 and MPDB63 series), intermediate (MPDB66 and MPDB67 series), and large (MPDB68 and MPDB69 series), in both aluminum and copper.

- Featuring 1 primary input opening and 4 secondary load openings per pole, this 3-pole miniature block allows commercial electricians and panel builders to seamlessly splice cables or feed up to four separate loads from a single primary line. This compact architecture optimizes space inside dense control panels while drastically simplifying distribution wiring.
- The high-conductivity, tin-plated aluminum connectors are fully engineered to prevent galvanic corrosion when mating dissimilar metals. It delivers a robust ampacity rating of up to 175A for copper conductors and 135A for aluminum conductors, giving you maximum field flexibility when adapting to varying jobsite material specifications.
- With an upgraded insulation rating of 1000V, this block easily handles demanding commercial HVAC systems, complex industrial automation machinery, and modern solar photovoltaic grid configurations. This elevated threshold future-proofs your control system against voltage sags and spikes while outperforming standard 600V alternatives.
- When paired with properly sized Mersen Class J, T, or CC fuses, this robust block achieves a verified standalone 100 kA SCCR. This extreme level of overcurrent protection prevents destructive catastrophic panel failure during a short circuit, allowing your entire industrial enclosure to easily comply with stringent UL 508A safety mandates.
