Description

Harmony 22 mm modular push buttons, selector switches, pilot lights are designed for industry. This range combines simplicity of setup, flexibility and a robust construction. An ingenious locking system consisting of a snap fit head and body that can be tightened with a single screw but still ensuring an easy and yet secure mounting. Harmony XB4/ZB4 are 22 mm chromium plated metal modular push buttons, selector switches and pilot lights connecting to fully metal mounting collar. The operators can be purchased as complete operators or various modules that can be assembled to meet the user’s specific requirement. Harmony XB5/ZB5 are 22 mm plastic modular push buttons, selector switches, pilot lights. The operator can have a round and square plastic bezel. The contacts can be used for low load electrical contact and high power applications. Shake proof connection screws make periodic retightening unnecessary. A complete set of accessories to provide a solution for applications where exposure to high pressure cleaning, dust and extreme temperatures is an everyday occurrence. These harmony 22mm push buttons are used by machine manufacturers (automotive, textiles, timber) and control system panel builders. Certified and approved for meeting requirements throughout all continents: EN/IEC, UL, NEMA, CSA, CCC, Gost, JIS and many more. They have UL and CE markings and have ratings up to IP66 and IP69K.

Features

Engineered with a specialized mechanical safety latching mechanism, this Emergency Stop pushbutton features true "trigger action." This design means the electrical contacts will not change state until the mechanism is fully and completely latched down, preventing operators from accidentally jogging or cycling machinery via an incomplete push. Once pressed, the button mechanically locks in place and requires a deliberate twist-to-release motion to reset, satisfying strict international safety standards for industrial machinery shutdown/
This complete control assembly comes factory-equipped with a dual contact block configuration consisting of 1 Normally Open (1 NO) and 1 Normally Closed (1 NC) slow-break contacts. The NC contact features a certified positive opening mechanism (conforming to IEC 60947-1), which mechanically forces the contacts apart to break the safety circuit even if the contacts experience minor welding from an overcurrent event. The complementary NO contact provides an immediate digital signal path back to a PLC or local alarm beacon to flag exactly which station initiated the shutdown.
Built under Schneider's premium Harmony XB4 metal architecture, this device utilizes a rugged, chromium-plated metal bezel paired with a heavy-duty Zamak fixing collar. This solid metallic sub-structure delivers exceptional impact resistance and mechanical torque retention inside the panel cutout, preventing the operator head from cracking, twisting, or shearing off when struck forcefully by an operator during a high-stress workplace emergency.
Boasting an elite tier of environmental sealing ratings including IP66, IP67, IP69, and IP69K, this safety switch is entirely dust-tight and waterproof.
Featuring a standard 40mm bright red mushroom-headed actuator, this highly visible device mounts directly into any standard 22.5mm industrial panel cutout. The compact physical layout (measuring 47mm wide by 82mm deep) utilizes universal vibration-resistant screw-clamp terminals that accept flathead or Philips screwdrivers. It carries complete UL 508, CSA C22.2 No 14, and ISO 13850 compliance, enabling rapid deployment in any commercial or heavy industrial field control enclosure without layout modifications.
