Description

TeSys GV motor circuit breaker, 3 poles (3P), 18A/690V, for 3-phase motor applications 7.5kW@400V. It provides a thermal-magnetic protection with a thermal setting range 13-18A, magnetic tripping at 13xIn, high breaking capacity Icu 50kA@400V. Connection by screw clamp terminals. Start-stop control by rotary knob guaranteed for 100 000 cycles AC-3. Multi standards certified (IEC, UL, CSA, CCC, EAC, Marine, ATEX), Green Premium compliant (RoHS/REACh).

Features

  • The Schneider Electric GV2P20 is a 3-pole TeSys Deca Manual Motor Starter and Protector. It combines the functions of a circuit breaker, a manual switch, and a thermal overload relay into one compact 45mm unit. It is designed to provide full-load motor protection, specifically handling short-circuit protection, overload protection, and phase-loss sensitivity for Canadian industrial motor circuits.
  • The GV2P20 features an adjustable thermal setting range of 13 to 18 Amps. Using the dial on the front of the unit, you can precisely match the starter to your motor's Full Load Amps (FLA) as listed on its nameplate. This ensures the motor is protected against overheating without causing "nuisance trips" during normal operation.
  • Unlike the push-button "ME" style, the "P" series features a rotary handle operator. This provides a clear visual indication of the switch status (ON, OFF, or TRIPPED). Crucially for Canadian safety standards, the handle is padlockable in the "OFF" position, making it an essential component for Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures during machine maintenance.
  • The GV2P20 is engineered for high performance, offering a breaking capacity of 50kA at 400/415V. This high rating allows it to safely clear significant short-circuit faults without damaging the starter or the upstream distribution system, providing "Type 2" coordination to keep your facility's downtime to a minimum.
  • One of the most valuable features of the GV2 motor protector is its inherent phase-failure sensitivity. If one of the three power phases is lost—a common cause of motor burnout in industrial settings—the GV2P20 will detect the imbalance and trip the circuit, saving the motor from permanent damage
