Description
TeSys GV motor circuit breaker, 3 poles (3P), 4A/690V, for 3-phase motor applications 1.1-1.5kW@400V. It provides a thermal-magnetic protection with a thermal setting range 2.5-4A, magnetic tripping at 13xIn, high breaking capacity Icu 100kA@400V. Connection by screw clamp terminals. Start-stop control by rotary knob guaranteed for 100 000 cycles AC-3. Multi standards certified (IEC, UL, CSA, CCC, EAC, Marine, ATEX), Green Premium compliant (RoHS/REACh).
Features
- The Schneider GV2P08 is a 3-pole (3P) manual motor circuit breaker. It provides local manual control and comprehensive protection for electric motors, combining the roles of a disconnect switch, thermal overload protection, and short-circuit protection in one compact 45mm-wide unit.
- The GV2P08 features an adjustable thermal trip setting of 2.5 to 4 Amps. This range is specifically designed for small 3-phase motors. For example: 1.1 kW to 1.5 kW at 400/415V 2.2 kW at 500V Approx. 2 HP at 480V or 3 HP at 600V (depending on the motor's specific Full Load Amps). You can precisely set the dial to match your motor's nameplate FLA for optimal protection.
- This model is built for high-performance safety. It offers an ultimate short-circuit breaking capacity (Icu) of 100kA at 400/415V and 100kA at 480V (UL/CSA). This ensures that the breaker can safely interrupt massive faults without failing, preventing damage to the rest of your electrical system.
- The GV2P series uses a high-durability rotary handle. This provides a clear visual indication of the status: ON (I), OFF (O), and TRIP. The rotary handle is designed to be more robust than push-button starters and can be padlocked in the "OFF" position for safe maintenance (Lockout/Tagout).
- The GV2P08 includes built-in phase failure sensitivity. If one phase of your 3-phase supply drops out (single-phasing), the breaker will trip to prevent the motor from overheating and burning out—a critical feature for maintaining expensive industrial equipment.
