Description
TeSys Vario add-on module, auxiliary contact block, for TeSys Vario V02 to V6 switch bodies. It provides 1NO+1NC contacts (late make NO, early break NC) rated for AC operation until 12A/690V and DC operation until 8A/250V. To be mounted on one side of the switch body. A maximum of 2 additional auxiliary contact block modules VZ7 or VZ20 can be attached to the switch body, one in each side. Multi standards certified (IEC, UL, CSA, CCC, EAC), Green Premium compliant (RoHS/REACh).
Features
- Custom-engineered to add signaling and control-loop capabilities, this module functions as an add-on auxiliary contact block. It physically mounts onto a primary load-break switch body to provide reliable, mechanical status feedback that mirrors the position of the main power poles, allowing you to feed status updates directly to a central PLC or safety interlock system.
- Belonging to the heavy-duty TeSys Vario and Mini-Vario product lines, this module is engineered for universal side-mounting (left or right side). It clips directly onto the master switch-disconnector frames, making it fully compatible with Vario switch bodies V02 through V6 (ranging from 12A to 175A models) without increasing the depth of the enclosure layout.
- The block is configured with a 1 NO (Normally Open) + 1 NC (Normally Closed) contact set featuring specialized late-make NO and early-break NC mechanics. When the main switch handle is rotated to shut off equipment, the early-break NC contact opens a split second before the main power poles separate, safely dropping out upstream magnetic contactors and suppressing heavy electrical arcing before the physical disconnect occurs.
- Built for high-performance control environments, the auxiliary contacts carry an insulation rating of 690 V AC (50/60 Hz) with an 8 kV impulse withstand voltage. The contacts possess a conventional free-air thermal current of 12 Amps, comfortably piloting standard AC-15 command loops (up to 100,000 cycles) and DC-11 signaling grids (up to 30,000 cycles).
- Featuring an IP20 finger-safe environmental rating, the module incorporates robust screw-clamp terminals that accept solid copper wires up to 2.5 mm² and torque down cleanly at 0.7 N·m. The ultra-compact 20mm-wide assembly carries full UL, CSA, CE, UKCA, and GL safety approvals, ensuring your complete motor control panel or machinery disconnect station satisfies all local electrical inspection codes.
