Description
General duty safety switches are designed for residential and commercial applications where durability and economy are prime considerations. Typical loads include lighting, air conditioning, and appliances. They are suitable for use as service equipment when equipped with a factory-installed neutral assembly or field-installed service grounding kit, as applicable. General duty safety switches are UL® Listed, and meet or exceed the NEMA® Standard KS1. This Single Throw Safety Switch which has a rated current of 200A with a NEMA 1 degree of protection. This fusible disconnect switch comes with a neutral (factory installed). This general duty switch is a 2-pole, 240VAC has a short curcuit rating of 100kA and is surface mounted. This switch has lugs for an electrical connection which will accept AWG 6/250 kcmil, aluminium/copper. This switch is certified to UL standards Dinemsions for this product are 29 in (H), 19 in (W), 8.25 in (D). General Duty safety switchs come with an 18 months warranty.

- To streamline on-site electrical installations, this safety switch features a factory-installed, solid bonded neutral assembly right out of the box. This built-in configuration allows electrical installers to immediately use the device as a dedicated service entrance disconnect, avoiding the need for separate aftermarket ground/neutral bonding kits.
- Housed in a NEMA Type 1 indoor enclosure constructed from high-grade galvannealed steel, this unit provides exceptional resistance against corrosion and localized mechanical impact. The surface-mounted cabinet utilizes a heavy-duty quick-make, quick-break operating handle mechanism to minimize contact arcing, drastically extending the lifespan of internal copper contact surfaces under frequent cycling.
- Featuring heavy-duty mechanical line and load lugs, the connection blocks are certified to clamp securely onto AWG 6 through 250 kcmil copper or aluminum wiring. The oversized lug housing accommodates thick feeder lines easily, allowing electricians to establish high-torque, low-resistance connections that prevent hot-spot generation over years of continuous load.
