Description
This safe expansion module is designed for relay outputs and belongs to the Modicon MCM, a range of Modular safety controllers. It has 8 forcibly guided contact safety relay outputs (8 NO + 4 NC) and 4 inputs for Start/Restart interlock and external device monitoring. It figures LEDs on its front face to display the status, removable spring clamp terminals for electrical connection and is IP20-rated. It does not require the backplane expansion connectors as it is directly wired to the selected OSSD. It has a rated supply voltage of 24V DC, a maximum power dissipation of 3W, and a Switching voltage of 10V DC. It has an electrical isolation between the contacts and the control. It weighs 0.375kg. Its dimensions are 45mm (Depth), 99mm (Height) and 114.5mm (Width). Its housing is red. It uses monitoring logic, circuit protection, and redundant relays for fail-safe operation. It is certified by the TüV SÜD, RCM, cULus. It reaches Category 4, PL e, according to EN/ISO 13849-1, SIL CL 3, and IEC/EN 61508, IEC/EN 60261. It is sold in a 1-piece package. It instals on Omega 35mm DIN rail conforming to EN 50022. The Modicon MCM range is designed to provide the most comprehensive protection for personnel and equipment. Modicon MCM range is designed to provide safety applications requiring conformity to Performance Level PL e/Category 4 EN ISO 13849-1 and SIL3 EN/IEC 61508.
