Description

TeSys Deca contactor, 3 poles (3NO), for motor control applications up to 50A/690V AC-3/3e (22kW@400V). It provides a 120V 50/60Hz AC coil, 1NO+1NC built-in auxiliary contacts (NC mirror certified), power connection by screw terminals, control connection by screw clamp terminals. For operating rates until 3600 cycles/hour and environments until 60°C, it procures high reliability and durability. Compact (75mm width), DIN-rail mounting or screw fixing. Multi-standards certified (IEC, UL, CSA, CCC, EAC, Marine), Green Premium compliant (RoHs/Reach).

Features

  • The Schneider Electric LC1D50G7 is a 3-pole (3 NO) power contactor from the TeSys Deca (formerly TeSys D) series. It is a heavy-duty industrial switch designed primarily for starting and controlling 3-phase motors. In the Canadian industrial landscape, this frame size is the "sweet spot" for medium-sized pumps, fans, and compressors.
  • The "50" in the part number signifies its 50-Amp inductive (AC-3) rating. In a typical 600V Canadian industrial environment, this contactor is capable of controlling a 40 HP (30 kW) motor. For non-inductive resistive loads (AC-1), such as industrial heaters, its capacity jumps to 80 Amps, making it a versatile component for various power distribution tasks.
  • The "G7" suffix is the specific code for the control coil voltage. It indicates a 120V AC (50/60 Hz) coil. This is the most common control voltage in North America, allowing the contactor to be triggered directly by standard PLC outputs, pushbuttons, or limit switches without needing specialized power supplies.
  • Every LC1D50G7 comes factory-equipped with two built-in auxiliary contacts: 1 Normally Open (NO) and 1 Normally Closed (NC). These are essential for providing feedback to a control system—for example, the NO contact can light up a "Running" pilot light on a panel, while the NC contact can be used in an electrical interlock circuit to prevent two motors from running simultaneously.
